silk & mohair
RMS certified mohair Cruelty-free silk traceable to the farm Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Mohair is sourced from Angora goats raised in South Africa. The spinning mill adheres to ethical, technical and environmental standards and creates yarns without harmful chemicals. The silk fibres are only extracted from the cocoons after the cocoons have matured into moths and escaped. This means that silkworms are not killed in the process, as is the case in conventional silk production.
Andean wool
The yarn is spun in Peru in a family-owned, Fair Trade-certified factory that ensures good conditions for animals, people and the environment. It is made from a natural cross between Merinos and Corriedale sheep grazing in the Andes at 2500–5000m above sea level.
